Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Congress president Jitu Patwari launched a scathing attack on the ruling BJP government on Monday, accusing it of betraying thousands of qualified OBC students by withholding their job appointments despite successful interview processes.
Addressing a press conference in Bhopal, Patwari claimed that over 20,000 OBC candidates, who had cleared all recruitment formalities, are still waiting for official appointments. “If anyone is responsible for this injustice, it is solely Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Under his tenure, this betrayal began, and now CM Mohan Yadav is continuing down the same path,” he said.
Patwari alleged that the BJP’s failure to honor its commitments reflects a broader ideological apathy towards backward communities. “This is not just administrative delay—it’s a deliberate denial of opportunity to an entire generation of OBC youth. The BJP's ideology and its leadership have consistently failed the socially and economically backward,” he charged.
The Congress leader demanded immediate intervention and resolution of the issue, warning that continued inaction would lead to intensified protests. “These students are not asking for favors. They have earned their positions. Denying them jobs is a betrayal of constitutional values and social justice,” Patwari added.
