Berlin, Germany — Former Union Minister MJ Akbar has said that India’s diplomatic efforts to rally global support against religious terrorism under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi have been met with a sympathetic and positive reception, especially in Germany.
“We have played some part in ensuring that the mission that Prime Minister Modi sent us on has been successful,” Akbar stated during his address in Berlin. “We have conveyed the message that PM Modi will lead the global fight against barbaric terrorism in the name of religion.”
According to Akbar, the response in Germany was particularly encouraging and reflects a promising trajectory for India-Germany relations in the coming years. He emphasized that such international support strengthens India’s resolve and diplomatic stance in the ongoing fight against terrorism, particularly in the aftermath of recent attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.
