In a sharp critique of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, RJD MP Misa Bharti expressed concerns over the weakening grip of his government. During a recent address in Patna, Bharti highlighted the continuous law and order issues being raised by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), stating that the party consistently brings incidents affecting the public to the forefront.
"I feel Nitish Kumar's grip on the government has weakened... Every day RJD is raising the law and order issue," Bharti remarked, emphasizing the RJD's active role in highlighting the challenges faced by the people of Bihar. She criticized the tendency to blame incidents on the RJD government of 20 years ago, while Nitish Kumar has been in power for many years now.
"You (Nitish Kumar) are in the government, everyone is under you," she stated, calling on the Chief Minister to take responsibility for the current state of affairs. Bharti’s comments reflect a growing sentiment within the opposition that Nitish Kumar’s administration needs to reassess its approach to governance, especially in terms of maintaining law and order.
As the political climate in Bihar heats up, Bharti’s statements signal potential friction between coalition partners, and her critique underscores the opposition’s demand for stronger governance and accountability from the ruling government.
