By A Staff Reporter: The ruling BJP in Manipur faced a new controversy when party leader and minister Letpao Haokip refused to be a part of a committee formed in the state assembly.
Speaking to ANM News, Haokip mentioned that he had no knowledge about the committee. “My permission was not sought and my name was included without any intimation to me. How can can I be a part of a committee when I cannot access Imphal valley and there is so much district between two communities,” he said. Haokip, a BJP leader from the hills, claimed that he feared for his life and security to go to Imphal. He has been operating out of Delhi for the past few months.
