NEW DELHI: Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya underscored the significance of youth in nation-building during his participation in the 'Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect' event at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Monday.

 

Speaking to the gathered students, Mandaviya reflected on India's ambitious goals for 2047, the centenary of independence. "It was a privilege to participate in 'Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect' with the youth at Jawaharlal Nehru University today," he said. The event focused on the inclusion of youth power in driving India’s progress toward becoming a developed nation.

 

The Union Minister lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for a transformative new India, stating, "Under PM Modi's leadership, the nation is progressing, and a new India is being built." He highlighted the critical role that young minds and their innovative ideas play in achieving the nation's developmental milestones.

 

The event witnessed active engagement from students and academic experts, fostering discussions on how India’s demographic dividend could be harnessed to achieve growth across sectors. Mandaviya also emphasized the importance of leadership, innovation, and collaboration to overcome challenges and accelerate progress.

 

The 'Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect' initiative aligns with the government’s broader vision of empowering youth and fostering their participation in policy-making, entrepreneurship, and societal development.
