Patna: BJP leader and Member of Parliament Manoj Tiwari on Thursday termed Nitish Kumar’s swearing-in ceremony a “historic day” for Bihar, as the veteran leader prepares to assume office as Chief Minister for the tenth time. Speaking ahead of the ceremony, Tiwari extended congratulations to the people of Bihar, saying their mandate had once again affirmed a clear desire for development.
“For the 10th time, Nitish Kumar is going to be the CM of Bihar. He will take the oath in the presence of PM Narendra Modi,” Tiwari said, adding that the moment symbolises the people’s continued trust in the leadership steering the state toward progress. “Bihar has once again made it clear that the people want development,” he remarked.
Tiwari called the day “momentous” for Bihar and expressed pride in being present for the event. He also urged RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav to attend the ceremony, stating that democratic values should take precedence over political rivalry. “Tejashwi Yadav should also attend this ceremony if he respects democracy. Those in politics must rise above victory or defeat and remain committed to serving the people,” he said.
