Delhi: Reacting to the tragic building collapse in the Dayalpur area of Mustafabad that claimed four lives, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Manoj Tiwari expressed deep sorrow and emphasized the urgent need for safer construction practices in the capital.
Speaking to the media, Tiwari said, “Mustafabad Vidhan Sabha area witnessed a tragic incident where an old building collapsed. It wasn’t constructed with proper planning or strength. This is a very painful event in which four people have died. We are gathering full details and once the rescue operation is complete, we will visit the site.”
He further underscored that the incident should serve as a serious warning to builders and homeowners alike. “This should be a warning to those who construct buildings — ensure they are built strong and safe,” he added.
The building collapse, which occurred in a densely populated neighborhood, has prompted a joint response from the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and other emergency services. Several people have been injured, while rescue teams continue to search for survivors in the debris.
