New Delhi: In the midst of the heated 2025 Delhi Assembly election campaign, BJP MP and former Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari has launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him and his party, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), of harboring prejudice against residents of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
Tiwari claimed that Kejriwal recently referred to people from these states as “farzi” (fake), accusing them of coming to Delhi to get fraudulent voter ID cards made. "This is not the first time Kejriwal and AAP have displayed their hatred towards the people of UP and Bihar," Tiwari asserted during a public address.
Referring to the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, Tiwari alleged that the Delhi government abandoned thousands of migrant workers by misleading them into heading to Anand Vihar with false promises of transportation. "Instead of safeguarding lives, Kejriwal’s actions pushed them into the jaws of death," he said.
Tiwari also reminded voters of Kejriwal's controversial remarks accusing UP and Bihar residents of straining Delhi’s healthcare system. "He once claimed that people buy a Rs 500 train ticket to Delhi and avail Rs 5 lakh worth of medical treatment here. Such statements expose his disdain for hardworking migrants who contribute immensely to the city," he added.
The BJP MP further alleged that AAP conspired to delete 7.5 lakh voter names, primarily targeting UP and Bihar residents, in the 2022 municipal elections. Tiwari warned Kejriwal against making such remarks, stating, "The people of UP and Bihar are known for their hard work and integrity, unlike the false promises and actions of AAP."
