New Delhi — Former Delhi Education Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia has strongly criticised a bill passed in the Delhi Assembly on Friday, claiming it grants excessive powers to private schools at the expense of parents and judicial oversight.

“Yesterday, a very dangerous bill was passed in the Delhi Assembly. It will allow private schools to suck the blood of parents like a monster,” Sisodia alleged.

He claimed that private schools welcomed the BJP government in Delhi, saying, “When the BJP government was formed in Delhi, private schools celebrated and distributed sweets.” According to Sisodia, the legislation would restrict the ability of parents and courts to challenge school decisions, while giving greater administrative and financial control to private educational institutions.
