AAP leader Manish Sisodia has unveiled an innovative initiative called "Internship with Manish Sisodia" to involve college students in the electoral process and deepen their understanding of democracy. Sharing details about the program, Sisodia expressed his intention to empower young minds by exposing them to the intricacies of electoral democracy and leadership.
"I had launched a program named 'Internship with Manish Sisodia' through my social media handles. My intention was that college students become part of the electoral process, which is the most crucial part of democracy," said Sisodia.
He elaborated that the program is designed to help students learn how leaders operate, understand public sentiments, and identify hurdles in the electoral process. "This experience will help them see how elections are not just a mechanism but a powerful tool for democracy," he added.
According to Sisodia, thousands of students from across the country applied for the program, showcasing the enthusiasm of the youth to participate in democratic processes. Out of these applicants, around 100 students have been selected to join him starting next month.
The initiative aims to provide hands-on experience in public service, leadership, and electoral mechanisms, allowing students to gain insights into how leaders address public concerns and navigate challenges.
