Mumbai: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has announced that the state government is formulating a comprehensive housing policy to address long-pending issues and provide affordable rental housing to various sections of society. Speaking after a meeting of the housing department, Shinde underscored the government’s commitment to creating eco-friendly and affordable housing options.
“In the housing department meeting, various projects pending for years were discussed. It is the responsibility of our government to provide eco-friendly and affordable rental housing. We are preparing a comprehensive policy for students, mill workers, and police,” Shinde said.
The Deputy CM also highlighted the government’s focus on addressing the needs of Mumbai residents who have migrated to other cities. “We aim to make a policy for the people of Mumbai who have migrated to different cities and bring them back. This policy is in the best interest of the public,” he added.
Shinde reiterated the government's dedication to PM Modi’s vision of "Housing for All" and assured that the state’s efforts would align with the aspirations of the common man. “The state government is a common man's government. It is PM Modi's resolve to provide a house to every citizen,” he said.
