Maharashtra Govt Pledges Swift Relief for Farmers Hit by Marathwada Floods

Deputy CM Eknath Shinde said the state government is in touch with officials and NDRF teams, assuring farmers of immediate assistance and compensation before Diwali.

Mumbai: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde assured farmers in flood-affected Marathwada that the state government is committed to providing timely relief and compensation.

Addressing the media on the flood situation, Shinde said he is in regular contact with district officials as well as the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams engaged in rescue operations. He acknowledged that farmers have suffered significant crop and property losses due to the floods.

“Helping the farmers is the responsibility of our government. Our Chief Minister and ministers will personally assess the situation. People should receive immediate assistance,” Shinde stated.
