MUMBAI — Following an inspection of the Mumbai-Goa Highway, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde emphasized ongoing efforts to improve the road conditions. Speaking on the prolonged work on the Mumbai-Goa Konkan Highway, Shinde pointed out the involvement of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in facilitating loans for the contractors.
However, due to the negligence of some contractors, the project faced setbacks. CM Shinde assured that multiple methods are being employed to fill the potholes on the highway, aiming to provide a smoother journey for Ganesh devotees during the festive season.
Further, he mentioned that a comprehensive review of the highway’s condition will be conducted by the Divisional Commissioner, Collector, NHAI officers, PWD, and other officials to ensure all necessary measures are taken for road safety and maintenance.
