Pune: In response to the flood-like situation in Pune, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde emphasized the need for proactive measures to protect residents and address civic issues. "People staying on the banks of the river and those living in buildings falling on the 'Blue Line' (an imaginary line marking the potential flood zone) should be rehabilitated appropriately," Shinde stated.
CM Shinde has instructed concerned officials to find a permanent solution to the various civic issues in Pune. He also reviewed the riverfront development project, ensuring that it would not obstruct the river's flow. "I have instructed officials to make sure that this project shouldn't block river waters or the flow of the river in any way," he said.
