Devendra Fadnavis to be Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra at the behest of central leadership

By A Staff Reporter: Devendra Fadnavis addressed speculations about the Chief Ministerial post in Maharashtra, emphasizing that the Mahayuti (BJP-Shiv Sena alliance) is unified and decisions are being made collectively.

"In our Mahayuti, there has never been a difference of opinion. We have always made decisions by sitting together," said Fadnavis. He reiterated the pre-election understanding within the alliance to decide on the CM's post collectively after the elections.

Fadnavis also referred to the statement made by Maharashtra caretaker Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who had earlier assured full support from Shiv Sena for any CM candidate chosen by BJP senior leaders. "A few people have doubts, but Eknath Shinde ji has clarified today. Soon, we will meet our leaders and make the decision," Fadnavis added.

The statement comes amid ongoing discussions within the alliance about the leadership for the next government. The BJP and Shiv Sena alliance, known for its electoral strength in Maharashtra, aims to present a unified front as they finalize their leadership choices.
