Bhopal — Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Wednesday announced that a large-scale train wagon manufacturing factory will be inaugurated in the state on August 10. The announcement was made ahead of the scheduled visit of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who is expected to attend the inauguration.
“With a futuristic view, a large factory to manufacture train wagons will be inaugurated here. From Vande Metro to modern train wagons will be manufactured there,” the Chief Minister said, addressing the media in Bhopal.
Describing the project as a reflection of the state government's commitment to job creation, Yadav emphasized its potential to curb youth migration. “This is a reflection of us keeping with our pledge to provide jobs. I hope that with this, our youth need not migrate out of the state to look for jobs. They will get jobs here and the state will prosper too,” he added.
The upcoming facility is expected to play a key role in the indigenous production of modern rail equipment, including components for the Vande Bharat and Vande Metro trains, which are central to the Indian Railways' modernization drive.
