Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) has officially announced its expansion ahead of the second season, opening opportunities for individuals and business entities to join as franchisee owners for two new regional teams. The league’s governing council will grant selected franchisees exclusive rights to represent specific regions, marking a significant step in strengthening the cricketing ecosystem in the state.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahanaaryaman Scindia, Chairman of MPL, expressed pride in the league’s accomplishments during its inaugural season. “The Madhya Pradesh League, in its inaugural season, has already become a cricketing milestone for the state. The results are evident in many MP players being auctioned in IPL franchises and the state team’s impressive runner-up finish in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy,” Scindia stated.
