Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the state-level celebrations for the 10th National Ayurveda Day, emphasizing the preventive role of Ayurveda in healthcare.
Speaking at the event, Yadav contrasted Ayurveda with allopathy, stating, “Allopathy treats you after you fall ill, but Ayurveda prevents illness in the first place.” He highlighted the relevance of traditional medicine during the COVID-19 pandemic, noting that herbal remedies like kadha provided hope and resilience. “God brought such a major disaster to show that without Ayurveda, there can be no salvation,” he added.
The Chief Minister also announced the opening of a dedicated Ayurveda AIIMS, marking a significant step toward institutionalizing Ayurveda education and research. He said the move would strengthen healthcare infrastructure and promote integration of traditional medicine with modern practices.
