Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Thursday inaugurated the Swadeshi Awareness campaign at Ravindra Bhawan, emphasizing the importance of self-reliance and national pride. Addressing the gathering, he drew parallels between the philosophies of Mahatma Gandhi and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.
“Before independence, Mahatma Gandhi spun yarn on the charkha, burned foreign clothes, and lit the flame of swadeshi and freedom across the country. Today, we also remember Mahatma Gandhi with reverence. It is our good fortune that we also remember Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, who was a founding member of the Jana Sangh and a pioneer of Integral Humanism. For us, there is a wonderful similarity between the lives of both,” Yadav said.
