New Delhi | Commenting on the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack, retired Lieutenant General Sanjay Kulkarni highlighted the strong response from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, noting its potential impact on Pakistan’s leadership and strategic posture.
"Indian Prime Minister seems to have come out very strongly and his strong statements about wanting to wipe out not just the terrorists, but also those who are supporting the terrorists," Lt Gen Kulkarni said. "So that may have rattled the Prime Minister of Pakistan and also the state of Pakistan," he added, suggesting that India’s clear and forceful messaging could pressure Pakistan at multiple levels.
He pointed out that India possesses long-range weaponry capable of striking terror camps across the border without the need to cross into enemy territory. "Striking the camps isn't an issue," Kulkarni explained. "We have long-range weaponry that can target them even from our own territory."
However, he cautioned that the delay between the April 22 attack and potential retaliatory action could pose challenges. "Since the incident on April 22, some time has passed, and the terrorists may have moved, making it harder to confirm their presence," he noted.
