LS Speaker Om Birla to Inaugurate Women Lawmakers’ Empowerment Conference in Tirupati

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will inaugurate a two-day national conference on the empowerment of women legislators in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, on September 14. The event is being organized by the Committee on Empowerment of Women of Parliament and State and Union Territory Legislatures.

According to officials, the conference will focus on issues related to women’s representation, participation, and leadership in legislative bodies. It will also provide a platform for women lawmakers from across the country to share experiences, challenges, and best practices in strengthening democratic institutions through gender-inclusive participation.
