Delhi: Marking the observance of Constitution Day at Samvidhan Sadan on Wednesday, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla extended greetings to citizens across the country and recalled the monumental work of India’s founding constitutional architects. In a solemn tribute, Birla saluted Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the President of the Constituent Assembly, and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Constitution, along with other members of the drafting body whose contributions laid the foundation of the nation’s democratic structure.
Addressing the gathering, the Speaker reflected on the spirit and values embedded in the Constitution, which he described as a living document that ensures justice, equality, fraternity and dignity for every Indian. He highlighted the dedication and vision of the framers, noting that their intellectual depth and unwavering commitment helped shape a constitutional framework capable of guiding the country through social, political and economic evolution.
