Koderma, Jharkhand — Addressing a public rally in support of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate Subhash Yadav for the Chatra Assembly constituency, RJD leader and veteran politician Lalu Prasad Yadav emphasized the unity and strength of the INDIA alliance while openly criticizing the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The rally, a significant event in the run-up to the upcoming Jharkhand state elections, saw Lalu rallying RJD supporters, calling for collective action against the BJP.

In his speech, Lalu dismissed the influence of the Prime Minister, stating, “There is nothing called Narendra Modi. Who is Narendra Modi?” He downplayed the significance of Modi’s role in Jharkhand politics, asserting that the BJP's influence can and should be countered at the local level by strong regional leadership. His comments underscore a common sentiment within the INDIA alliance, which aims to present a unified opposition front against the BJP in various states.

Emphasizing the power of unity among opposition parties, Lalu remarked, “The INDIA alliance is united, and everyone remembers the strength of this alliance.” This statement was a direct appeal to voters, suggesting that a united front can better serve regional needs and counter what he perceives as divisive policies by the BJP.

Lalu urged the public to support RJD candidate Subhash Yadav, calling on voters to “throw BJP away” and place their trust in RJD leadership to bring about progress and stability in Chatra and the broader Jharkhand region. His rallying cry, focused on local empowerment and opposition unity, marks a continued push from the INDIA alliance to strengthen its presence across Jharkhand in the upcoming elections.
