Patna, Bihar: In a major political development, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and veteran leader Lalu Prasad Yadav on Monday filed his nomination for the post of National President of the party, aiming for a record 13th consecutive term at the helm.
The announcement was met with widespread celebrations across RJD’s ranks, with senior party leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav describing Lalu Yadav as the “messiah of the poor” and expressing strong optimism about the party’s future under his continued leadership.
“There is immense joy among the people. From the party workers to the senior leaders, everyone is celebrating Lalu ji’s nomination,” Tejashwi said in Patna. “He has already completed 12 terms, and this will be his 13th. We are confident that under his leadership, we will taste success in the time to come.”
