Kochi: Lakshadweep BJP is making strides in expanding its base with a robust membership drive launched on September 2, 2024. State President KN Kasmikoya shared the progress during a media interaction, revealing a substantial increase in membership numbers compared to the previous year.

“The BJP membership drive in Lakshadweep was launched on September 2, 2024, and we have already issued 1,700 cards,” said Kasmikoya. “Last year, we managed only 450 cards, but this year we’ve scaled up by 200-300%. Our goal is to complete the drive with 5,000 memberships.”

Kasmikoya emphasized the party’s growing influence in the region and its dedication to grassroots mobilization. He attributed the significant rise in memberships to the BJP’s focus on reaching out to diverse sections of society and increasing awareness about its policies.

The membership drive is part of the party’s larger strategy to solidify its presence in Lakshadweep, an area with unique cultural and political dynamics. With a target of 5,000 members, the BJP aims to strengthen its foothold and enhance its organizational capacity in the island territory.

The campaign continues to gain momentum, marking a significant milestone for the party in Lakshadweep.
