Kuwait City: BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, part of an all-party Indian delegation led by fellow BJP MP Baijayant Jay Panda, has stated that Kuwait's leadership and influential figures have extended strong support to India in its fight against terrorism, while expressing concern over Pakistan's role.
Speaking to reporters after high-level interactions in Kuwait, Dubey said, “Two very important meetings were held yesterday. One was with the Deputy Prime Minister, and the other with a gathering of influential Kuwaiti personalities — including former Prime Ministers, Finance Ministers, Home Ministers, Foreign Ministers, and media heads.”

He emphasized that while Kuwait may maintain formal ties with Pakistan, those present at the meeting acknowledged India’s longstanding suffering due to terrorism. “They accepted that they might have relations with Pakistan, but regarding the manner in which Pakistan is indulging in terrorism, they support us because we have been suffering for the last 78–80 years,” Dubey added.
According to Dubey, several attendees later personally reiterated their stance. “They said they had openly condemned terrorism and stand with India,” he said. He further noted that Kuwait’s government, public, elites, and even the royal family support India's stand against terrorism and are increasingly distancing themselves from Pakistan on this issue.
