Kolkata: Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Kunal Ghosh on Thursday criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his social media post on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Speaking to reporters, Ghosh described the post as "wrong and unacceptable," particularly highlighting the mention of Netaji's death date.

"We are celebrating the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The post made by Rahul Gandhi is wrong. We don't know whether the theory regarding the air crash accident of Netaji is correct or not, but the date of death that Rahul Gandhi has mentioned is wrong, and he should correct it," Ghosh said.

The controversy stems from longstanding debates over the circumstances and timing of Netaji’s demise. While many accounts suggest he died in a plane crash in 1945, this theory remains contested, and Netaji’s death has been a sensitive and unresolved historical matter.
