New Delhi: In a fiery statement, BJP leader and Vice Chairman of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), Kuljeet Singh Chahal, launched a scathing attack on Arvind Kejriwal. Speaking about the BJP's newly released Sankalp Patra for the capital, Chahal described it as a roadmap for a "Viksit Delhi" (Developed Delhi), while accusing Kejriwal of being "the biggest liar and corrupt CM in the country."
"Today's Sankalp Patra is a Sankalp Patra for Viksit Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal is rattled because of our Sankalp Patra, as he knows that PM Modi does what he says," Chahal remarked. He alleged that Kejriwal’s governance has been marked by baseless accusations and inaction. "He just keeps abusing and accusing but does nothing," he added.
The BJP's Sankalp Patra reportedly focuses on a vision for holistic development in Delhi, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, and addressing pollution. Chahal’s remarks underscore the growing political tensions as both the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) gear up for a battle of narratives ahead of the upcoming elections in Delhi.
Chahal’s pointed criticism of Kejriwal as the "country’s biggest corrupt CM" reflects the BJP’s intensified campaign to corner the AAP on issues of governance and accountability. Meanwhile, the AAP has consistently dismissed such allegations, countering with claims of transformative achievements in education and healthcare under Kejriwal’s leadership.
