HYDERABAD — Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader KT Rama Rao (KTR) on Saturday launched a blistering attack on Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over a recent controversial remark invoking former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. KTR accused the Chief Minister of using undemocratic and offensive language that, he claimed, has deeply insulted the people of the state.

Reacting to Reddy’s reported statement that "people need to be stripped and thrashed to understand the greatness of Indira Gandhi," KTR said, “I want to ask Rahul Gandhi — is this the language of your so-called mohabbat ki dukaan (shop of love)?”

He warned that such language would not be tolerated by the people of Telangana and that a political backlash is inevitable. “The people of the state will avenge this insult at the right time. They will give a befitting reply,” KTR asserted.

Taking a direct dig at the ruling Congress in Telangana, KTR predicted a bleak future for the party. “If Revanth Reddy continues as the Chief Minister for five years, Congress will not have any voters left for the next 15 years,” he said, mocking the party’s leadership and suggesting growing public dissatisfaction.
