KTR Alleges ₹10,000 Cr Financial Fraud by Telangana Govt in Hyderabad University Land Row

Hyderabad: In a sharp escalation of political tensions in Telangana, BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) on Thursday levelled serious allegations against the state government and its Chief Minister, accusing them of perpetrating a massive financial fraud involving 400 acres of land originally belonging to Hyderabad University.

Addressing the media, KTR claimed that the Telangana Government has falsely asserted ownership of the disputed land and used it to secure a ₹10,000 crore loan from ICICI Bank, allegedly without proper due diligence. He alleged that this was facilitated by an intermediary broker firm named Beacon and Trust Advisors, who were central to the purported scam.

“This ₹10,000 crore is public money,” KTR asserted. “It cannot be taken lightly. ICICI Bank, under the influence of the Chief Minister and his cronies, blindly sanctioned this amount. This is a serious matter of public interest.”

He also alleged a quid pro quo arrangement between a BJP MP and the Chief Minister, suggesting a wider political nexus behind the transaction.
