Hyderabad, Telangana: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President and former minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) launched a sharp critique of Telangana’s Chief Minister, accusing him of governance failures and financial mismanagement. "The Chief Minister is running a failed government. He has no clue about how to govern and is indulging in a jugglery of words and numbers," KTR stated during an assembly session.
He directly challenged the Chief Minister's claim of a 100% farm loan waiver in the state, stating, "I have challenged the CM to prove that a 100% loan waiver has been completed. If he proves it, I will give up my membership and leave the assembly." KTR alleged that the CM’s inability to address this challenge highlighted a broader lack of accountability.
Responding to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) registering a money laundering case against him over alleged irregularities in the Formula-E race, KTR said, "We will face them legally. I have done nothing wrong." He expressed confidence in addressing the allegations, asserting that the accusations were politically motivated.
The remarks come amidst a charged political atmosphere in Telangana, with both governance issues and corruption allegations taking center stage ahead of upcoming elections.
