Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju today emphasized the need to accelerate development in Arunachal Pradesh during his address at the ‘Sankalp Se Siddhi’ programme held in Itanagar. The event marked 11 years of the Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre and was attended by senior officials, party workers, and citizens.
Speaking at the gathering, Rijiju reflected on the progress made under the Modi government, particularly in the Northeast, while stressing that the momentum must not slow down. “Development works are being done in Arunachal Pradesh. We have to speed up the journey of development,” he said, calling on both public representatives and citizens to contribute to the state’s continued advancement.
Highlighting the transformation over the past decade, Rijiju noted, “We all know what our condition was 11 years back, and how we are now. We don’t have to be satisfied in that, and work hard.”
The ‘Sankalp Se Siddhi’ initiative aims to reinforce the government's resolve to bring inclusive growth, especially to regions historically lagging behind in infrastructure and public services. Rijiju, who hails from Arunachal Pradesh, has often been vocal about integrating the Northeast more closely into the national development narrative.
