Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Friday responded to Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s recent remarks on social media, asserting that the nation and its youth firmly support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Speaking in Delhi, Rijiju said PM Modi has earned the trust of farmers, the poor, and ordinary citizens, who see him as the leader driving India’s progress.
“The nation stands with PM Modi, the youth stand with him. The poor, farmers, and common people consider Modi as the leader of the country,” Rijiju stated. He added that India has undergone significant transformation under the current government, with rapid development across sectors.
Criticising Rahul Gandhi, the Union Minister said repeated electoral defeats have led him to blame the system rather than acknowledge his own shortcomings. “After repeatedly losing elections, if Rahul Gandhi keeps blaming the system to hide his own weaknesses, no one will accept it,” Rijiju remarked.
He further said that efforts to undermine the government’s momentum are misplaced. “The country has changed, and under PM Modi’s leadership, India has progressed significantly. People like Rahul Gandhi want to stop the engine that is driving the nation forward at a rapid pace,” he added.
