Kerala Minister PA Mohamed Riyas has outlined the state's request for Rs 2,000 crore to fund reconstruction efforts in Wayanad, following severe landslides.
In a statement, Riyas detailed the discussions with the central team, highlighting the extensive damage caused to roads, houses, and farmland, as well as the impact on the tourism sector. "We have raised the issue of reconstruction cost," he said, emphasizing the urgent need for financial support to address the widespread destruction and support affected communities.
