Kochi, June 11 — The Kerala High Court has issued a notice to Congress leader and newly elected Member of Parliament Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in response to an election petition filed by Navya Haridas, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate from Wayanad. The petition seeks to nullify Priyanka’s recent victory in the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election.

Navya Haridas, who contested the bypoll as the NDA nominee, has alleged that Priyanka Gandhi failed to disclose critical information during the nomination process. In her plea to the court, Haridas contended that the Congress MP had concealed material facts in her affidavit, which, she argued, rendered the nomination invalid and the election result questionable.

The court, admitting the petition, issued notice to Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, asking her to respond to the allegations. A detailed hearing in the matter is expected to follow.
