Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan Calls for Unity in New Year Message

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan extended heartfelt New Year greetings, emphasizing unity and collective progress. In a message shared on social media, he stated, "The New Year symbolises fresh beginnings & hopes for a brighter tomorrow. As regressive elements attempt to sow seeds of hatred among us, let the festivities become the testament of our brotherhood & humanity. Together, we move forward to realise a better future. Wishing everyone a joyful & prosperous New Year!"

This message aligns with Vijayan's consistent advocacy for social harmony and resistance against divisive forces. In previous New Year messages, he has emphasized the importance of humanity, courage, and the fight for progress. For instance, in a past tweet, he expressed, "May the new year fill us with the love for humanity, courage to stand against all divisive forces, unwavering spirit to build an egalitarian society." 

Vijayan's call for unity comes amid various challenges, including recent provocative remarks by political figures. Notably, he condemned a statement by Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane, who labeled Kerala as 'Mini Pakistan,' describing it as provocative and baseless.
