New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor and New Delhi Assembly candidate Arvind Kejriwal, while addressing residents, highlighted his government’s achievements in ensuring 24-hour electricity supply across Delhi. Reflecting on the state’s transformation over the past decade, Kejriwal said, "I came to meet you 10 years ago. In those days, the electricity used to be there for 8 hours. Now there is electricity for 24 hours."

The AAP leader underscored the elimination of power cuts and the reduced dependency on generators in Delhi. "There is no power cut and no need for a generator," he stated, attributing the improvement to his government’s policies and management of the power sector.

Taking a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which governs 20 states in the country, Kejriwal questioned their inability to provide round-the-clock electricity. "BJP is in power in twenty states. There is no electricity for 24 hours in any of those states," he remarked, emphasizing Delhi’s distinctive progress under AAP’s rule.

Kejriwal’s comments come as AAP continues to project its governance model, which prioritizes affordable and reliable public services, as a blueprint for other states. With electricity being a vital issue for urban and rural voters alike, the AAP leader’s claims aim to reinforce his government’s credibility ahead of the elections.
