KC Venugopal Announces Vote Adhikar Yatra, Backs Rahul Gandhi’s Allegations Against Election Commission

Varanasi: Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal announced that the party will launch its Vote Adhikar Yatra on August 17 from Sasaram in Bihar. Speaking during his visit to Varanasi, Venugopal said the initiative is aimed at raising awareness about voting rights and highlighting concerns over the functioning of the Election Commission.

Venugopal endorsed recent allegations made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who has accused the Election Commission of failing to uphold electoral integrity. According to Venugopal, these concerns reflect broader issues in the democratic process that the party intends to address during the yatra.

The Vote Adhikar Yatra is expected to cover multiple states, engaging with voters through public meetings, rallies, and outreach campaigns. Congress leaders say the movement will focus on voter inclusion, prevention of disenfranchisement, and ensuring free and fair elections.
