Delhi: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has announced that the list of appointments for various state boards and corporations is expected to be finalised on July 16 during a scheduled meeting in Bengaluru. The process, which has been underway within the state’s ruling party, involves nominating party workers to key positions across boards and corporations.

Speaking to reporters, Siddaramaiah said, “Yesterday Randeep Surjewala and DK Shivakumar had a discussion about board and corporation where we can nominate our party workers as Chairman and members. Discussion was incomplete.” He added that Randeep Surjewala, the party’s Karnataka in-charge, is set to return to Bengaluru on the evening of July 16 to continue the deliberations and finalise the nominations.

The appointments have been under consideration for some time, with party functionaries and supporters awaiting clarity on their roles within the state administration. Such nominations are part of the standard political process following government formation, often used to accommodate party workers and maintain internal cohesion.
