Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday convened a meeting at Vidhana Soudha to address the provision of essential utilities to newly constructed buildings within the limits of the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) and other parts of the state.

The discussion focused on streamlining processes for granting water and electricity connections to residential and commercial buildings, aiming to improve service delivery and ensure that urban development keeps pace with infrastructure availability. Officials from relevant departments were present to outline current challenges and propose solutions for quicker and more efficient implementation.

The CM emphasized the importance of timely access to utilities as a key factor in urban planning and citizen welfare. “Providing water and electricity connections promptly is essential for both residents and businesses. Our objective is to remove bottlenecks and ensure smooth services,” Siddaramaiah stated.
