Karnataka CM Announces Candidate Selections Amid Political Race

By A Staff Reporter — In a recent announcement regarding candidate selections, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah confirmed the nomination of Yasir Pathan for the Shiggaon constituency. "We sent panel names to AICC, and our president, Mallikarjun Kharge, has decided to field Yasir Pathan," Siddaramaiah stated. He emphasized that the panel included a diverse range of candidates, both Muslim and non-Muslim, to ensure broad representation. "We also sent other names including Muslim and non-Muslim as well... they have chosen a Pathan," he added, highlighting the party's commitment to inclusivity.

Turning to the upcoming elections, Siddaramaiah also addressed the candidature of Nikhil Kumaraswamy from Channapattana, asserting that his party's candidate, Yogeeshwar, is set for a decisive victory. "It was known. It doesn't matter who is the BJP or JDS candidate; our candidate is Yogeeshwar, and he will win 100% for sure," he declared, expressing confidence in Yogeeshwar's ability to secure the seat against any opponent.

Siddaramaiah's statements come as Karnataka's political landscape heats up ahead of the elections, with party leaders strategizing to gain an edge over their rivals.
