Chennai, Tamil Nadu — DMK MP Kanimozhi, who led the all-party parliamentary delegation (Group 6) to five European and Eurasian nations, has returned to India, describing the visit as “very positive” and reflective of India’s unity on critical global issues, particularly the fight against terrorism.
The delegation, which included members from across the political spectrum — primarily opposition MPs and one BJP MP — visited Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Latvia, and Russia. The tour aimed to bolster parliamentary diplomacy, strengthen bilateral ties, and convey India’s firm stance against terrorism on the global stage.
Speaking to the media upon her return, Kanimozhi stated, “The visit was a very positive one. We had the opportunity to visit five countries. The delegation majorly composed of opposition MPs and one BJP MP — that itself was a message to the countries that India stands as one. In spite of our political differences, we come together as one country to say that enough is enough and we want to end terror.”
