Delhi: Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot announced the flagging off of Mohalla buses, emphasizing the government's plan to improve local connectivity. "Delhi government's transport department will conduct a trial run for a week. Whatever feedback we get and whatever learnings we get, we will incorporate all of them," Gahlot stated.
He explained that these Mohalla buses will operate on shorter routes compared to the 12-meter buses, aiming to connect passengers to key transit points rather than serving as a direct route to their final destination. "The whole idea of Mohalla buses is to connect the passenger to a place from where he gets further connectivity. We can connect him to an important metro station so that eventually he can go to his destination," Gahlot added.
