New Delhi: Union Minister and BJP national president JP Nadda has honored the late Sitaram Yechury, former Rajya Sabha MP and General Secretary of the CPI (M), with a floral tribute. In a heartfelt tweet, Nadda reflected on Yechury’s contributions and their interactions despite their differing ideologies.

Nadda’s tweet read, "Paid floral tribute to the mortal remains of Former Rajya Sabha MP and General Secretary of the CPI (M) late Shri Sitaram Yechury ji. We both had different ideologies. He was a person more inclined towards ideas, but at the same time, he maintained relationships with those whose views differed from his own." He praised Yechury for his dedication to engaging with differing viewpoints and his belief in the democratic process.

The Union Minister noted Yechury’s principle of "agreeing to disagree" as a testament to the strength of democracy. "He believed in agreeing to disagree and often said that this is the beauty of democracy," Nadda stated, highlighting the respect Yechury commanded in political discourse despite ideological divides.

In his tribute, Nadda also extended his condolences to Yechury’s family, wishing them strength during this difficult time. "May God grant him eternal peace and give his family the strength to endure this pain," Nadda concluded. This gesture underscores the respect Yechury garnered across the political spectrum and acknowledges his role in fostering democratic dialogue.
