AHMEDABAD, Gujarat – Union Minister JP Nadda delivered an impactful address at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad's (IIMA) Health Care Summit, emphasizing the importance of empathy and compassion in healthcare policies and programs.

Expressing his gratitude, Nadda said, “It is a great opportunity for me to be here at IIM Ahmedabad, this prestigious institute. I consider this an honour and privilege.” He praised the institute for its significant contributions to India’s development, particularly in management and policymaking.

The summit, attended by industry leaders, healthcare professionals, and academicians, provided a platform to discuss innovative strategies for improving healthcare delivery in the country. Nadda underlined the need for patient-centric approaches in healthcare, stressing that empathy should form the backbone of all policies and programs.

“All policies and programs should have empathy, should be patient-centric, and we should develop a very compassionate healthcare system,” Nadda stated, urging stakeholders to prioritize human dignity and patient welfare in their efforts to reform healthcare.

He also highlighted the role of institutions like IIMA in shaping policies that address the evolving challenges in healthcare, from technology integration to equitable access.
