Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir | A successful joint operation was carried out today by the Special Operations Group (SOG) Camp Machil and the Indian Army’s 12 SIKHLI unit in the Sedori Nala forested area near Mushtaqabad Machil in the Samsha Behak region. Acting on specific intelligence inputs, the security forces launched a search in the dense forest, leading to the discovery and dismantling of a terrorist hideout.
A significant cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the site, confirming the presence of militants in the area. The haul included 5 AK-47 rifles, 8 AK-47 magazines, one pistol, one pistol magazine, 660 rounds of AK-47 ammunition, one pistol round, and 50 rounds of M4 ammunition. The J&K Police confirmed the recovery, highlighting the operation’s success in preventing further threats to security.
This operation is part of the ongoing efforts by the Indian Army and local security agencies to counter terrorism and maintain peace in the region.
