In a strong statement on maintaining peace in Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha warned individuals or groups attempting to disturb the region's stability. Speaking in Jammu, Sinha emphasized that those who try to create an anti-India atmosphere or disrupt the peace will face strict legal action.
"Those who will try to disturb peace in J&K will be harshly dealt with according to the law," he said, reiterating the government's resolve to maintain order and sovereignty. The LG also pointed out that while the Constitution guarantees the freedom of speech, this right has limitations, especially when it concerns activities against national integrity.
"There are some restrictions too, keeping in mind the sovereignty of the nation," Sinha added. He underscored that individuals working against the country would be held accountable under the law. The statement serves as a clear message to those attempting to destabilize the region or promote divisive narratives.
Sinha's remarks reflect the administration's ongoing efforts to ensure peace and security in Jammu and Kashmir, with a focus on upholding national unity and sovereignty.
