REASI: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha outlined his vision for a transformed Jammu & Kashmir, focusing on development and security as key priorities. Speaking at an event in Reasi, Sinha expressed optimism about the region's progress and determination to address challenges posed by terrorism and external forces.
“What kind of transformation do we want to see in Jammu & Kashmir in the decade to come? We have been progressing for the last 4-5 years. The day is not far when Jammu & Kashmir would be one of the developed states,” said Sinha, highlighting the region’s recent advancements.
He called on citizens to join hands in building a progressive and harmonious Jammu & Kashmir, stating, “Let’s resolve to dedicate ourselves to building such a Jammu & Kashmir together.”
Sinha also reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to the holistic development of the region. “The PM has given clear instructions that the holistic development of Jammu & Kashmir is his national priority. But this development is possible only when society is assured of security,” he remarked.
Addressing security concerns, Sinha pointed to persistent attempts by neighboring forces to disrupt harmony. “Our neighbor is making constant attempts to affect harmony, but I know the brave jawans of the armed forces, Police, and CRPF. They have been given full freedom, and terrorism will be crushed and eliminated,” he affirmed.
The LG’s statements underline the government’s dual focus on ensuring peace and driving development, as Jammu & Kashmir continues its journey toward stability and progress.
