Jammu and Kashmir Congress President Tariq Hameed Karra has responded to recent criticism from Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the Congress party's position on reinstating Article 370. In a media statement, Karra expressed confusion over why the BJP seems to be apprehensive about Congress’ growing influence in the region.

Karra stated, "I don’t know why they (BJP) are so scared of Congress’ growth in Jammu and Kashmir. They are doing their work, we are doing our work, every political party is busy for the elections. Now, what is the purpose for creating such confusion?"
