Doda, J&K: Union Minister Jitendra Singh has expressed appreciation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mention of the Purple Revolution during a recent speech in Jammu and Kashmir. Singh highlighted that the Purple Revolution, which began in Doda, has significantly impacted the region by creating new opportunities for agricultural startups.
“I am glad that PM Modi referred to the Purple Revolution, which was initiated in Doda,” Singh remarked. “This initiative has opened up new avenues for agri-startups across the region.” The Purple Revolution, which focuses on the cultivation of high-value crops like lavender, has been a key development in enhancing agricultural practices and economic growth in J&K.
Singh also noted that the Purple Revolution received a notable boost when PM Modi discussed it in one of his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ broadcasts. Additionally, he mentioned that a tableau showcasing the Purple Revolution from Bhaderwah and Doda was featured in the Republic Day parade at Kartavya Path, further acknowledging the initiative’s significance and achievements.
